We provide the following working holiday programmes which are intended for university students who would want to spend their long university vacation abroad. U.S. Visa Programs
> Work and Travel USA (J-1 Visa)
If you’re a university student, you can work in the U.S. under the J-1 Visa programme as an entry-level short-term employee. This programme is designed to help U.S. businesses meet their seasonal staffing needs while giving international students the chance to earn money, experience a new culture, and travel abroad in their summer break. You can work for up to 4 months during your university vacation, after which you are allowed to travel for up to 1 month within the U.S. The J-1 Visa is not automatically granted and you will have to provide additional information and other important documents as support for the U.S. Consul Officer. You will have to attend a physical interview and the whole process can be lengthy and complicated, especially if you are unused to the formalities of international travel and visa applications.We always stick to the current rules and regulations that apply to entry to the USA and the guidelines we have included here are those currently applied by the U.S. Authorities, AYSTE! and our international partners. If the regulations change, you will be informed and we will do all that we can to modify our Programme to conform to the new regulations. Remember, that the holder of a J-1 Visa (Work and Travel Programme USA) can only stay in the USA for four (4) months.
The J-1 visa places restrictions on the type of work that can be undertaken, but there are no restrictions on the amount of work that you can do, be it part-time or full-time. However, you will be expected to take a holiday during the last month of your stay in the USA. This is to allow you visit places of interest to you.
Who Can Apply?
Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria can apply to partake in the Work and Travel Programme USA. The basic criteria include:- You are a Ghanaian full-time student in an accredited university, but not in your final year.
- You are aged between 18 and 28 years.
- You want to travel to the USA to take employment as an integral part of a holiday.
- You do not have any dependent children.
- You can support your stay in the USA without help from public funds.
- You have the means to pay for your return, or onward journey.
- You plan to leave the USA at the end of the holiday programme.

Please Note: We do not provide documentation, services or assistance to any person who is not registered with the Work and Travel Programme USA (J-1 Visa programme). We work closely with the United States Consulate who is pre- advised of all persons being supported by AYSTE! We will take appropriate action against any person submitting documentation claiming to be provided by AYSTE! but who are not registered on the Work and Travel Programme USA (J-1 Visa programme).
> H-B2 Visa USA
This winter's seasonal employment offer is for candidates who are in love with snow, winter, sports, and unstoppable velocity. Who Can Apply?
To participate in the AYSTE! H-2B Visa program, applicants must be:
- Between the age of 18 and 40
- Able to demonstrate a high level of maturity, adaptability and understanding of the program.
- Able to commit to the entire work period.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English commensurate with the position applied for.
H-B2 Visa USA Employer Benefit
- Employers determine employment start and end dates based on temporary needs. H-2B Visa workers are able to cover your entire season.
- International workers may only work for the employer that legally sponsors their visa. H-2B Visa holders may not work second
- jobs.A dedicated Account Manager works with you throughout the H-2B Visa qualification process until the end of your season.
- Employers choose their workers from a pool of qualified and motivated international applicants provided by AYSTE! and our international partners. International Workers are screened and tested for English communication skills.
- Accident and health insurance is provided for all international workers.
Program summary
